The Barony of Settmour Swamp invites you to join us, in a weekend of camping, competing, and questing!The annual Quest event will be held on Saturday, inspired by the events of Marco Polo's Journeys to the Far East. Those hopeful for the Baronial Champions' titles will be able to test their mettle this weekend in various competitions: Fencing, Archery, Arts & Sciences and Bardic on Saturday, and Fighting and Thrown Weapons on Sunday. A schedule of events, and details of the competitions are available on-line.
The feast will be on Saturday night, and breakfast will be available each morning at reasonable prices.
Merchants are welcome. There is no charge for space but you must provide your own tables.
About the Site
The campground will be open from 4 pm Friday until 12 noon Monday. It is a damp site, which means that beer, wine, and mead are permissible, but no distilled alcohol. Running water is not available onsite, so please bring bottled water to last through the weekend. Accommodations do include port-o-johns and a dumpster for garbage disposal. There will be separate containers for recyclables (glass, plastic, and paper) at the county's request. There will also be a central fire pit for socializing.We ask that you please keep an eye on your children at all times. No one under the age of eighteen can be admitted unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Pets are welcome as long as they are leashed and cleaned up after.
Reservations
Site Fees: $8 a day (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) for adults [14 and over]. $4 a day for children [3-13]. Under 3 attend free. There is no charge for Monday.The Saturday night feast is an additional $6 per person.

(Pre-registration is not required, but recommended, especially if you wish to get feast reservations.)

(Route 206 can be reached from Routes 287 and 22 from the north, and from Routes 95,295, and 195 from the south.)Take Rt 206 to County Rd 514 [Amwell Rd] in Hillsbough NJ. If you are coming from the north, turn right onto Rt 514. If you are coming from the south make a left.
Stay on Rt 514 for about 8 miles untill you come to a 3-way intersection at a large white Church. Turn right onto Rt 567 [River Rd]. A mile or so down the road turn left and go across a white metal girder bridge [Elm St]. The site is just across the bridge, on the right.
From the Brunswicks/Franklin area:
Take Hamilton Street/Route 514 west from New Brunswick, it turns into Amwell Road/Route 514. Continue across Route 206, and continue as above.
From Route 202 northbound (from Flemington area):
Turn right on Pleasant Run Road. In about 2 1/2 miles, the road becomes River Road. Make the next right on Elm Street, cross the white metal girder bridge, the site is just across the bridge, on the right.From Route 202 southbound (from Somerville Circle):
Turn left at the traffic light onto Old York Road, then right onto South Branch Road (County Route 567). At the T-intersection, turn left to continue on South Branch Road. After about 4 miles, turn left onto Route 629/Pleasant Run Road. (In about 1/2 mile, the road number will change back to Route 567.) Make the next right on Elm Street, cross the white metal girder bridge, the site is just across the bridge, on the right.
