  • Pond:  There is a pond on site, this is not for swimming.
  • Pets are permitted, and must be kept on a leash at all times.  Certain areas will be off limits to pets.
  • Alcohol:  No alcoholic beverages may be brought on site.  There will be a site-run bar available, and open until 2:00am.  This policy will be strictly enforced by event staff. Anyone in violation of this policy will be removed from the site.

To all Artisans, the Barony of Settmour Swamp sends greetings and invites that all who wish to contend for the title of
Baronial Arts & Sciences Champion to the competition that will be held at Brennan and Caoilfhionn’s Ducal Challenges.

Please bring your entry and documentation to the event for the competition. There will be a panel interview as part of the competition.
All entries should be submitted to the Settmour Swamp Minister of Arts & Sciences Lady Sof’ia Zhirinskaia by 11 o'clock.
The winner shall be proclaimed the A&S Baronial Champion, with all the rights and responsibilities pertaining thereto.

The Ducal Challenge features prize tournaments for both armored and rapier combatants.  Each combatant is asked to donate a prize to the pool showcasing their art or a piece of art they have commissioned.

The tournaments will be fought in 4 round robin pools, with each pool advancing 4 combatants.  The top 16 combatants will then fight a double elimination tournament down to the semifinals.  The finals will be fought with rotating weapons forms.

The winner of the tournament will have first pick of the prizes for that tournament.  The second prize pick will go to the artist/sponsor of the first prize picked.  Then, the second finalist in the tournament will pick, and so on.

Prize suggestions include (but are not limited to):

  • Armor pieces
  • Inkled Trim
  • Appropriate artwork
  • Banners
  • Glass beads
  • Jewelry
  • Garb
  • Feast Gear/Pottery
  • No Alcohol (per site rules)
  • No IOUs!!

There will be YOUTH COMBAT! Some loaner gear will be available. Youth fighting will start at 12:30 and will NOT be a part of the Challenge. Format will be decided based on number of participants.
