Do not attend an in-person activity if you are experiencing any of the symptoms of COVID-19. If you develop symptoms after attending an in-person activity, you must notify the person in charge of the activity as soon as possible.

If you have an underlying condition which increases your risk, strongly consider your own health and safety before attending an in-person activity.

Per the Board of Directors:
Although the SCA complies with all applicable laws to try to ensure the health and safety of our event participants, we cannot eliminate the risk of exposure to infectious diseases during in-person events.  By participating in the in-person events of the SCA, you acknowledge and accept the potential risks.  You agree to take any additional steps to protect your own health and safety and those under your control as you believe to be necessary.

Wearing a mask indoors is required by EK law, except for when directly fighting, and then they have to be put back on. More information is available on the East Kingdom Seneschal’s website:  https://seneschal.eastkingdom.org/covid-test-policy-resolution/

  • Alcohol:  This site is a dry site; no drinking is allowed in or outside.
  • Smoking/Vaping: NO smoking permitted anywhere on church property in or outside.
  • Chairs & Furniture:  The chairs that are indoors must remain indoors and are not allowed outside (apart from what my staff and I have already placed for merchants and the MOL tables). If you have a chair that you like more than a folding chair, you are encouraged to bring it to sit on during court.

  • There is a drainage ditch near the parking lot. While it is safe to be in, there is a steep downwards incline with rocks at the bottom surrounding a big portion. Please be sure you and your children are aware of this in order to avoid any potential injury. If you want to go into the ravine, there is a sloping incline towards the back near the tree line.

There will be no feast or dayboard.  There will, however, be individually wrapped warm handpies available for purchase.  These must be eaten outside and not in the main hall as to avoid unmasking in doors.  The cost will be $4 per handpie (meat and vegetarian options available) and will be included in your pre-registration.  If you forgot to order any or decide at the event that you would like one, there will be a limited amount available for purchase on the day of for $4 each. Please bring exact change.

There will also be hot water for tea, hot cider and cocoa and coffee available to warm you up.

Just a reminder that there is no eating or drinking indoors.  This is to avoid any unmasking while in a confined space.

When you troll in, you will be instructed to stay in your vehicle and routed through our gatekeepers. Please have your vaccine card (or a photo of it) and/or proof of negative results and your ID or membership card out and ready for everyone in your vehicle. You will be trolled in, receive your site token and event brochure while in your vehicle, and directed on where to park (parking is tight so thank you for your patience with us on this one). Please, if you can, because of the tight parking, carpool if you are able.

If you need to sign a waiver or have any issues trolling in, there will be a separate line you will be directed to in order to complete your check in.

There will be a vigil space outside near the fighting. If you have not already contacted me for an early set up, please do so in order to receive instructions. Please also note that any refuse generated from vigil food (plates, cups, wrappers, etc.) will need to be hauled out by the vigil coordinator (or someone they appoint) in order to not overburden the event site’s limited refuse receptacles. If this presents and problems or issues, please contact me directly and I will work with you.

You must be through the Covid Check in line by this time.  If you miss the Covid check in and arrive late, please reach out to the autocrat or deputy autocrat directly for further instruction.

Heavy and Rapier Tourney Lists Close

Mudthaw Tournaments (both rapier and heavy) begin

Site Closes

Merchants: For details please find the staff section of this page to contact the Event Steward.

The merchants will be located outdoors. This does two major things. One, the merchants will be able to watch the fighting and two those enjoying the fighting will be able to shop as well. Merchants, while we cannot provide pop-ups for you, we can provide one table each and two chairs. If you need more, please be prepared to bring extra. If you have any troubles setting up, please let me know so I can further assist you.

Bathrooms / Changing Areas

There are restrooms inside the event building that are available for use (please follow the signs and/or guidance from an event staff member). There will also be port-a-privies outside with a handwashing station in order to limit the number of people entering and exiting the site building. One will be located near the vigils, one near the fighting, and one near the merchants.

There will be a general changing area for those that do not come in garb. Please be aware that anyone (he/she/they) will be able to utilize this area. There will be privacy stations in order to effectuate your clothing change. If you are uncomfortable with this, please use the restrooms.

Other tid bits of information:

Please be patient and understanding with your fellow SCAdian. This will be a first event for some and there are still some people that are not comfortable with close quarters and/or contact.

There is a drainage ditch near the parking lot. While it is safe to be in, there is a steep downwards incline with rocks at the bottom surrounding a big portion. Please be sure you and your children are aware of this in order to avoid any potential injury. If you want to go into the ravine, there is a sloping incline towards the back near the tree line.

While we will have chairs for court, chairs are limited. If you have a chair that you like more than a folding chair, you are encouraged to bring it to sit on during court. The chairs that are indoors must remain indoors and are not allowed outside (apart from what my staff and I have already placed for merchants and the MOL tables).

Reminders:

Alcohol is not allowed on the premises. Smoking/vaping is also not allowed on the premises. Please respect these rules in order to keep a good relationship with the event site owners and to avoid being asked to leave the site.
