Come one, come all the Barony of Settmour Swamp invites you to the grandest Mudthaw of all!  Join in the investiture of our new Baron and Baroness, Syr Teric of Gwynedd and Mistress Paigan Crawford at our traditional first event of the season.  Bring your brightest banners and we will put them up to decorate the hall.  Join in the fun of shopping the fine merchants, fighting in a variety of tournaments, trying your luck at a game, and partaking of our feast.  There will be a barter bag game, and pleasant socializing – rub elbows with royalty, and mingle with our Mongols.  Later, come dance with us as we celebrate our new Baron and Baroness, and the coming of the spring.

There will be many activities to participate in during the day.  As usual there will be a fighting, fencing tournament and maybe youth boffer if there is enough interest.  Please note lists will be open by 10:30 and all fighting tournaments will start at 12 Noon sharp.  For those not in the martial arts join in the Al-Querk tournament or the Barter Bag Game.  We will also be hosting three fun contests:  The first is for costumes the second for feast table settings (preferably in the baronial colors of green, white and black) and a brewing contest.  Each of these is for fun so any and all are invited to participate.  Dancers and would be dancers are invited to join in lessons of the dances that will be presented in the evening.

Once our brave fighters and fencers have done for the day, and we have soothed (or enticed) your palates with our dayboard, we shall calm down a bit and hold Court.  When our Royalty is pleased to conclude, join us in a great feast made for you by Shnuel ben Yisrael.

When you are sated, the dancing begins!
